Eyes Wide Open: A Guide to Kinky Clubs and Kinky Parties

Having decided on going to a kinky-party the next issue you need to consider shall be: how do you undress for passing face-control? Logics would suggest an image that either represents your own kink or complies with kinks of other people. And this is almost the case. Different fetish clubs have the rules of their own, and image only may not suffice  – you also need to know a proper place to go ).

Therefore we have arranged this article in form of a guide to swing-, kinky- and fetish-clubs which conventional entry rules imply completely or almost naked body, and completed it with a review of codes and nuances set in some world-renowned kinky-places. Those interested in types of kinks’ general overview may find it in the List of Kinks and Their Definition – Real Stories Analysis article.

4 kinky places of London

Torture Garden

This year they celebrate the 26th anniversary of Torture Garden, a London fetish club visited by 800 to 2500 kinksters per month. The Garden founders have made no scruples to launch their own kinky clothes fashion line, giving ideas of the club entry dress code to those whose notion of contriving an individual kinky suit is not that creative.

The gardens of tortures hold monthly parties in various venues of London. Sometimes they decide on “going on tours” to Edinburgh, Rome, Toronto or Tokyo. The Torture Garden-labeled events attract up to 2500 persons.

The rules of dress-code observation and consensual conduct inside the club are fundamental for Torture Garden as well as any other club we have in our review. Even BDSM clubs have their symbols of consent level when “no” means absolute “no” for everyone.

Club RUB

A 19-year-old club that opens its doors every second or third Saturday of the month. Fetish parties are held once a month only.

The party organizers are very strict about dress code. If you were just passing by and decided to drop in ready even to denude in order to get inside – you still won’t be let in. The party masterminds shall be happy to host only those who have invested time and attention into creating one’s respective image. No phones are allowed inside the place.

The club makes a basis for various workshops and trainings, being a community that can teach you different aspects of femdom, playing with wax, dealing with latex and a number of other skills useful for your kinky life.

Club Pedestal

A niche-type fetish club is something only a megacity can afford. This is the case of Pedestal – a representative of female dominance theme.

If the idea of checking out whether resigning to woman’s control is enjoyable crosses the mind of a passing-by man, he shall be able to purchase the respective accessories right at the entrance. No advance preparation is required. And no dress-code for women is prescribed – they put on everything to emphasize their confidence.

The parties are held as often as once a month; the respective events schedule can be found on the club web-site or social media pages.

London Alternative Market

A fantastic opportunity of choosing a kinky image before going to a kinky-event is provided by platforms that sell kinky accessories. The ones like LAM.

2006 was a birth year of LAM alternative kinky-platform – a place offering a wide selection of kinky-costumes for those who are not satisfied with assortment proposed by sex-shops, as well as those eager to meet with kinky-culture representatives live. It is a kind of kinky-oriented shopping. The market is open every first Sunday of the month and is followed by a kinky party (that’s why it’s been put on our list).

2 kinky venues of Berlin

Kit Kat Club

The most famous European kinky club - «Kit Kat» of Berlin - was founded in 1994, its motto being «Do what you want but stay in communication».

The club name is a long story to tell. One can watch many films to come across swing-clubs, cabarets, burlesque or even bawdy houses bearing a name like this: seems like mass consciousness alludes “Cats clubs” to easy and unfettered behavior.

The club code welcomes only those dressed in consideration of wide range of kinky ideas. So that sometimes when looking at a “dressed-up” character you start wondering where is the place he keeps money in. As for the phone-pocket, don’t bother to make a respective provision: you’ll be asked to leave the phone together with your upper clothes at the point of entry.

The club general democracy refers to price as well. The entrance fee is 10 Euro. Monday to Friday the club holds various theme-parties that can be learned from the web-page or showbills next to the club. Saturdays are a time for mixed kinky-parties.

Insomnia

The younger daughter of Kit Kat that was founded by the latter ex-employee. The girl has aced it: Insomnia is totally different from Kit Kat with its unique character and piquant dark corners. More sex-oriented than Kitty is, Insomnia will make you stay awake and remember the place from the first time you find yourself there.

The parties are held Thursdays to Sundays and they are never the same. The club website provides a particular description of dress code and the details of sex to dance ratio expected at a party. Sex is had in a designated zone on the second floor that is open from 24:00. If you are an early arriver make no haste in having it on a bar - it is not accepted here. Stay patient and just wait for the moment when the red cord controlling the stairs to the second floor drops down to open the entrance to the atmosphere of public sex.

Kinky party in Rome

Flirt

The rivalry between Rome and Paris in the issues of history, culture, glamor and hedonism has resulted in dress code of Roman swing-clubs comparable to that of Parisian sex parties: men are expected to dress up in dark trousers and elegant white or black shirts with chic shoes to complete the image; no jacket or tie are required. Ladies are supposed to look both elegant and sexy, with high-heels on (no trousers, shorts, leggings, non-sexual dresses and low-heeled shoes are allowed).

The club is known to hold thematic parties requiring thematic dress code its web-page always informs about. But high heels for ladies and elegant suits for gents remain relevant for every event organized in Flirt.

The Flirt specific feature includes 7 hectares of naturalistic park around the clubhouse which territory is open in summer only.

The site also provides information about the number of couples holding reservation for the next party. The club occupancy is rather predictable: some events get 100 web-reservations one month before the party, while others make no more than 4.

Kinky clubs de Paris

Le Mask

The club name leaves no doubts about a mask to be an essential element of one’s image the party organizers would love to see. The club general dress code differs from most of world kinky clubs: in terms of style it is closer to that of Parisian swing-clubs.

Women are expected to wear high heels and nice cocktail dresses (no women in pants are allowed). Men shall be let in only given they wear suits or long-sleeved monochrome shirt paired with suit trousers.

The club is open daily, while thematic parties are held Wednesday to Sunday. The party theme and preferable dress code can be found on the club site. The “Video” tab also features images that visitors stay in after cocktail dresses have been flung off.

Les Chandelles

Just like in the previous club, here the visitors are expected to fit an elegant evening image - at least before entering the room in that clothes shall be no longer necessary).

You’ll be subject to strict face-control that shall in no way be enthusiastic about jeans and sports shoes. Leave you new balance for some other occasion and come here dressed in suit and shoes if you are a man, and a sexy cocktail dress if you are a woman.

The club schedule is: thematic parties are held every day except Wednesday. Party themes are available on the club web-page.

The entrance to Chandelle is almost hidden from the passers-by; the club has no sign-board, so you have to be attentive and patient in searching for your “gateway to paradise”.

Le Château des Lys

The “Fox Castle” is open every day. Sunday to Thursday – from 22:00 to 3:00, while Friday and Saturday parties end up at 5 a.m.

Just like in many swing-clubs of Paris the entrance fee for men make up 100 Euro. Ladies have it for 20 Euro or more – depending upon the party.

The club is located in a mansion next to Montmartre, but its capacity is not very high – up to 200 persons, since a part of the rooms is turned into a hotel for rent.

The club site keeps silence about the dress-сode, but the pictures gallery tells you won’t be wrong by choosing the garment that makes you look like a visitor of any Parisian swing-club.

Club Overside

Overside boasts with impressive 250 square meters of its area and 8 mini-spaces, each of them characterized by specific atmosphere.

The French word «Libertine» is a perfect description of the club ‘key account’: the freedom-loving couples, liberated and corrupted. Read carefully the site announcement if you want to visit the club alone: some parties are open for couples only.

The Overside dress code is rather democratic: black tie is not mandatory, though jeans are welcome neither for men nor for women. Face-control prefers ladies to come in dresses or skirts.

The club rules give a very sweet description of newcomers code of conduct: don’t be ashamed to warn the face-control guard about your first visit; come earlier – say, by 22:30 to watch the club gradually fill with libertines and feel the atmosphere become heavy with sex, and your shyness shall pass in a more natural manner. A perfect way of one’s first introduction into a kinky-space, isn’t it?

Le WE Club

The “10 floors of pleasure” (the club slogan) is open all the week; Saturdays are designated for couples only.

It is a complex combining a restaurant, a hotel and a club. Each of them are meant for libertines and sexually-diversified pastime.

The club is particularly proud of its roof terrace designated for erotic and romantic dinners and hotel rooms equipped with luxurious saunas.

Quai 17

You could have seen Quai 17 even if you have never been to Paris. Gaspar Noe introduced the club to the entire world (except for the countries where film distribution was prohibited) in his “Love” movie. We remember the film characters by their style, so yes, the dress-code of Quai 17 is more democratic than other Paris swing-clubs have. Probably this was the reason that predetermined Noe’s choice.

The parties theme vary from “for couples” to “mix” and “mostly for men” and is always described in the club site announcements.

The club parlours feature a small cozy cinema-hall showing films that pornhub would be proud to share.

The club has some other thematic spaces, for instance, for pipping or BDSM-games.

Le club Cris et Chuchotements

Cries and Whispers is not a 1972’ drama of Ingmar Bergman yet a BDSM-oriented fetish-club, a 20-year-old adult. The owner represents it to be the only BDSM club of Paris.

Spanking has become an ordinary entertainment of the club loyal customers so that it is no longer paid attention to. Sophisticated practices with bondage and whip are arranged in specially equipped dark corners of the place.

Visitors say that even if you are a fetish clubs regular customer one visit to Cries and Whispers shall add a good deal of new emotions to your list and help better learn the boundaries of your personal permitted and not condemned issues.

Kinky libertines of Cap d’Agde clubs

Cap d’Agde is a resort in the South of France. This “naturalistic village” is a restricted territory providing no access to unwelcome visitors: it can be entered only if you have a special pass. The best leisure season is March to October (the hottest season falling on mid-August), but on December 31 the village comes to life again to celebrate the “last swim of the year”.

The resort beaches are open for nudism and close for photo- and video-shooting. The territory can be conventionally divided into nudism zone, sex area (this being the hottest spot) and the territory for non-traditional orientation representatives.

A wide range of hotels and apartments as well as a huge selection of different kinky-clubs with various focuses makes it a best place for delving into kinky-life 24 hours a day. Naked body is a common dressing for daytime, so may you not be surprised by bars and supermarkets full of nudes.

Taking a walk across the territory is an easy way of meeting kinksters, fetishists and other sex-positive people. A vast number of stores gives an opportunity to create a unique kinky-image you’ve been dreaming about: desires don’t grow old while Cap d’Agde is a perfect place for their fulfilment. At nighttime numerous kinky-clubs shall satisfy the most capricious kinksters. Dropping in Glamour and Tantra is highly recommended.

Rotterdam and its Fun4two kinky club

The club’s been open since 1994, and over the last 22 years it had its owners changed once – a very rare thing for kinky places. Yet the club has easily got through changes and is still ranked among Europe’s top popular.

A piquant element of mandatory dress-code is sexy lingerie (that is, a girl in boxers hidden under the cocktail dress won’t be let in, just like a fellow wearing knee-long pant’s has little chance of becoming a club guest). The club code has also laid a ban on long leather skirts. The reason for this is not very clear – probably, some local specifics.

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday is a party-time. Friday parties are thematic - read carefully the club site for details in case surprises don’t turn you on.

European kinky parties from Castleevents

Inspired by the Eyes Wide Shut movie, the Castleevents project has been organizing its parties since 2004.

Getting to the party without site registration and preselection – your candidature is to be approved by organizers – is impossible (though if we recall the original film we might still consider some options available:)).

Notwithstanding the ticket high price its purchase gives no guarantee of getting to the party. The first thing is, the event organizers expect their guests to come in couples  with only a small percentage of single ladies allowed; gentlemen who are unescorted are not admitted. Second, the club dress code is rather strict: black tie + a mask. It can be a simple mask, or a one that resembles masks from the original movie. Anyway, from the moment they open up the door to the ritual room the visitors shall cease hiding their faces; otherwise using their lips and tongues on their sexual purpose shall be uncomfortable.

Every party is held in a new city and a new castle. The community registration is free for women, making 250 and more Euro for men. It does not mean the party holds more men than women; usually their number is equal. The event starts with dinner and some entertainment and continues the way the original movie goes, provided everything happens on totally consensual basis. If no permission is given, you shall be touched with eyes only. Eyes wide open…

Kinky places of Moscow-city

Kinky-Party

This is a name no one knew yet a year ago. Over the past 10 months the organizers managed to hold 4 big parties inspired by what they saw in Kit Kat and other European kinky clubs. Considering a very limited number of kinky clubs in Russia with fetish parties happening once in a blue moon, and against total absence of competition Moscow is happy to have Pop Porn Party that boosts its level with every new event.

Telephones are allowed. As for the dress code, being strictly fetish-focused it still approves men in traditional classic suits.

Kinky market

The Moscowites’ need for kinky images has been satisfied by the first kinky-market held during Sexprosvet, an educational event for general audience. The Sexprosvet organizers took up the issue of kinky-culture introduction in Moscow with zeal. No loneliness wanted in this affair, they do their best to encourage more and more Russians to touch a real kinky-life and try a kinky-image on. This is why they invite kinky items manufacturers for launching an off-line kinky-fair to be held simultaneously with Sexprosvet events.

Now that you are a kinky party visitor...

A visit to a kinky-club is first of all a chance to meet kinksters, see them in actual life, learn them and talk to them. But be also ready to answering questions about your own kink or getting proposals to join that of others).

The principle of consensus is an obvious groundwork of any fetish party and no one shall be forcing you. Still prepare yourself to give numerous ‘no’, sometimes even with your mouth gagged).
