Introduction

What is Fantasy Match?

Fantasy Match is a sexual wellness brand created to help people deepen their knowledge about sexuality and give them tools to make their sexual lives more conscious, enjoyable, and fun. We are the community that celebrates sexuality.

We believe that sexuality is a source of personal growth. Being true to our sexual selves and our sincere desires is empowering and brings mutual joy. We believe that the way we feel is more important than how we look or perform.

We are on a mission to create a sex-positive culture that embodies a healthy and mature attitude towards intimacy through empowering people to Learn, Play, and Flirt with certain community values.

Fantasy Match Community Values

Is it all about sex?

No. Does this mean we want everyone to become more sexually omnivorous? Do we want to turn the world into a global love-in? No way!

We welcome the ideas of sexual humanism and responsible hedonism, and we strive for establishing a sexual culture embedded with ideas of personal growth, emotional connection between partners, conscious desires, and responsible attitudes towards the self and partners. Ours is a culture that leaves no room for reproach, blame, humiliation, or intolerance toward people of all genders and sexualities.

Therefore, the content we create should reflect our values within the Mindful Guidelines.

Why is our content female-focused?

With a hope to re-invent the discussion about sexuality using digital products, we touch upon a number of subjects to spark a healthy grown-up conversation. With that said, we want this discourse to be women-oriented.

We want to close several gaps, including the pleasure gap,  and that's why we look at sexual pleasure from the female perspective, create our content from a female standpoint underlining that both partners should receive an equal amount of sexual satisfaction.

But our product is not only for cisgender people. Moreover, we believe that gender identity and whether it matches the sex that the person was assigned at birth or not doesn't matter when it comes to receiving and giving pleasure, discussing your desires, and being open about sexuality.

We are striving to build an inclusive community of ethical people and keep this in mind as we are creating the content.

Why are we doing it?

Why does Fantasy Match work so hard to stay within our Mindful Guidelines? If our app is so focused on being sex-positive, then why do we regulate the way we create content?

Fantasy Match and other forward-thinking, progressive sex-tech companies represent wave 2, which is the frontier in sexual openness. Fantasy Match focuses on sexual wellness and mindful intimacy.

We want to be game-changers, and we believe that the wave 2 companies are the future — the key to encouraging mindfulness, and sexual consciousness in ourselves. And we believe that this change is definitely coming.

However, in order to enact this change, we need to start a dialog and prove that we can still be open and mindful while embracing our sexuality within certain rules and etiquette. We hope that our Mindful Guidelines will help to develop the industry, and hopefully, giants like Apple, Facebook, Google, etc. will create more sophisticated policies on how they judge sexual wellness companies.

Guidelines Introduction

What are the Mindful Guidelines?

Fantasy Match aims toward building a safe space for all community members while staying compliant within the legal policies of Apple, Facebook, Google, and other tech companies. How do we write steamy content that caters to everyone from the vanilla to the hardcore, while steering away from "overtly sexual material"? That's why we've created these guidelines.

Our guidelines are as follows:

  1. We don't create content that could be construed as unsettling, offensive, or likely to cause physical harm.
  2. We don't create offensive, insensitive, upsetting, intended to disgust, in exceptionally poor taste, or just plain creepy.
  3. We don't create content that is overtly pornographic or displays explicit descriptions or displays of sexual organs or activities intended to directly stimulate explicit physical, sexual activities rather than aesthetic or sophisticated emotional feelings.

We comply with official guidelines below:

What content rules do we have?

When we get new people on board our team, we turn to writers who not only comply with our rules but share our Purpose, Mission, and Values.

We believe that some content simply shouldn't be published. You will not find anything that breaks the law, is potentially illegal or harmful at Fantasy Match.

Pedo-, copro-, necro-, zoo- and all other "philias" that are illegal will never be represented in our database, and they are not allowed in the app. We do not create any content related to self-destruction and/or integrity deprivation (such as amputation, etc.).

Instead, we provide educational and entertaining content. We collect information from a wide range of experts, scientific studies, and original sources. We have experts curating our Decks, and we keep track of the latest findings in sexual health, mental health, sexual wellness industries.

Fact-checking and respect for intellectual property are the tools we use to build maximum trustworthiness.

Guidelines Details

What is the Learn in-app section?

We've created the Learn section and filled it with educational content to provide you with knowledge tips and tools to develop sexuality and mindful intimacy. We believe that we can learn and grow only by expressing feelings and desires freely.

The Learn section is an educational space. It consists of cards organized in themed decks. The cards' content is curated by various experts and prioritizes self-reflection, consent, and mindful intimacy.

Fantasy Match Decks

The users can access the cards in their Feed or purchase one of the Decks to study them with a partner or solo, or even invite that special someone to play with the cards in the Room.

How decks and cards work?

There are two types of cards in the app: entertaining and educational cards.

Educational cards are a great source of practical tips and topics for discussion and reflection, while the entertaining cards are the source of sensual fantasies and turn-ons.

Users can swipe entertaining cards in different contexts:

1) They can swipe new cards in their Feed section to explore new fantasies, or
2) They can swipe cards in Rooms with other participants.

Each entertaining and educational card consists of three parts:

  1. Title
    1. This is a phrase with a clear statement.

Example: “All-day foreplay”

2. Story

    1. Stories can be different. Our current suggestion is that each Story should be approximately 1-10 sentences long. The educational Stories are longer. Their size and format depends on the topic.

Example: The user can tap the Fantasy Match card to view the story of the card in the “Details” section.

3. Illustration.

      1. Each card is beautifully designed with an illustration.

How does Fantasy Match’s explicitness scoring system work?

We’ve just seen how Fantasy Match looks at the scoring of the fantasies themselves. However, when creating the cards, including writing the Title and Story for a card, we keep the explicitness levels in mind.

We cannot always explicitly and straightforwardly talk about the card content. That’s why Fantasy Match Titles and Stories have 5 explicitness levels:

  1. Explicitness Level A: Extremely Sexually Explicit
  2. Explicitness Level B: Moderately Sexually Explicit
  3. Explicitness Level C: Sensual
  4. Explicitness Level D: Sensual/Metaphorical
  5. Explicitness Level E: Highly Metaphorical

Explicitness Level A is extremely outright, such as “Watching a stranger flog and fuck my partner,” while Explicitness Level E is extremely symbolic and metaphorical, such as “Sharing my favorite food with a wild animal.” Both of those statements refer to the same thing — watching a stranger have sex with someone’s partner.

We will go into more detail in the next section. Level A and Level B tend to be too explicit for app-based platforms like Apple or Android. Because of that, for each card we ask you to write at least 3 out of 5 variations of the Titles and only one Level C Story.

We believe that there would be a situation when you would want to use some dirty talks in bed 😉 But that’s applicable in real life and should stay private.

When are Explicitness Level A Titles okay to have?

  • If a card is not at all sexually explicit.
    • EXAMPLE: Gentle neck-biting
  • If the card is more or less sexually acceptable in culture.
    • EXAMPLE: Let’s try anal sex
  • If the card is so well-known that it’s not offensive.
    • EXAMPLE: The term “anal sex” is okay, while “drilling in the ass” is too explicit even though they describe the same act.
  • If the term does not contain swearing or explicit language.

Writing Rules Details

When you’re writing a card, what must you include?

  1. Title - see the details below.
    1. This is a phrase that clearly states what the topic is.
    2. It must be 1-10 words max (it could be a little bit more sometimes). The “Stat” column calculates the number of words in the “B” column (you may change it to check different column), so check the number of words.
    3. The first letter of the text must be capitalized. Use capital letters if needed (e.g. “ONS with someone else”). The designer will choose the most applicable text style when designing the cards.
    4. We write at least 3 titles using the 5 explicitness levels for each card (Level B + Level C + 1-on-your-decision).
  2. Story - see the details below.
    1. A Story may be a description or explanation of a Title, a poem related to the Title, or a narrative that depicts one or more people doing the action described in the Title.
  3. Categories
  4. Tags

In the end, we are going to craft beautifully-designed cards for every card across different platforms.

The best way to figure out whether a Title is successful is to ask yourself:

  1. If I saw this on a card, would I swipe “Like” to accept it?
  2. Would I share this card with a partner(s)?
  3. Does it personally turn me on?

If you’ve created a successful Title, the answer to all of these should be yes!

What categories do we use for entertainment cards?

1) Types: For each entertainment card, choose one category type. Ask yourself, what is the most important aspect of a particular card? Each card should only have one category type.

We do not stick to categories while creating content, but assign the type afterward.

  • objects - sexual arousal caused by non-living objects (examples of kinks: chef’s whites, stockings with garters, glasses, sex toys, nurse uniform, etc.)
  • body - sexual arousal caused by certain parts and types of bodies (examples of kinks: freckled skin, bald head, feet, big butt, specific body smell, etc.)
  • group - can be active (participating), passive (watching), and/or a public sex fantasy (examples: public sex, group sex, threesome, corruption, and training, etc.)
  • BDSM - includes dominant/submissive practices (examples of kinks: bondage, knife-play, submission to someone who is much stronger, partner’s roughness, etc.)
  • roleplay - playing a role you don’t belong to in real life (examples of kinks: medical-play, seduction by a teacher, etc.)
  • bans - tabooed pleasure and sexual experiments with social prohibitions (examples of kinks: public places, social inequality, unplanned/spontaneous/inappropriate sex, sex with a stranger, sex with someone else’s partner, a man in women’s clothing, etc.)
  • situations - fantasies about sexual actions in an uncommon place (examples of kinks: blowjob in the back of a taxi, sex in the gym, sex in the office, etc.)
  • behavior - sexual arousal caused by a certain type of behavior (examples of kinks: seducing a busy partner, getting aroused by somebody who doesn’t care about you, being attracted to a cold demeanor, etc.)
  • people - sex with a certain famous figure or movie/series/book character (examples: Harry Potter, Marilyn Monroe, Scarlett Johansson, etc.)
  • toys - using sex toys (examples: vibrator, dildo, etc.)
  • other - choose this if you can’t decide which type of card it is

2) Owners: who is the person that the certain card belongs to.

There is no scientific evidence that sexual fantasies differ along a gender spectrum. We respect all genders but are highlighting content created by the following genders:

  • All < focus on this
  • Male
  • Female
  • LGBTQ

We will elaborate in detail on cards for specific genders in the future.

What are tags?

It will be possible to search for a specific card in the app using the keywords or tags.

Every card has keywords, which will be used to help users to find a specific card. Enter keywords, separated by a comma, that directly describe a particular card, including synonyms (from 2 to 5 max).

Titles: Writing Rules Details

How do we write Titles?

The majority of cards are written in the gerund or collective format without a subject.

TYPE YES NO
Gerund Sleeping with someone else’s partner while they watch I want to sleep with someone else’s partner while they watch
Collective Let’s give each other massages with happy endings A massage with a happy ending
Gerund Covering in chocolate sauce Cover me in chocolate sauce and I’ll cover you

However, if a specific card Title is short and to the point—and if it’s so common that readers would be able to understand it at first glance—we simply state the noun instead of using the collective or gerund format.

For example:

  • Striptease
  • Gentle sex
  • All-day foreplay
  • One night stand

In all cards we try to get to the point without filler words such as “I want” or “Maybe” or “How about?”

  • NO: I want to hit on a stranger together
  • YES: Hitting on a stranger together

How explicit are we?

We stick to these guidelines. Basic Mindfulness Rules:

  1. Wherever possible, refrain from explicitly referencing or naming sexual organs.
  2. Wherever possible, refrain from directly or explicitly describing sexual acts.
  3. Do not use any words from the explicit list.
  4. If you must explicitly name or describe something, exchange words from the explicit list with words from the substitution list.
  5. When creating cards, keep mood words in mind in order to create a sophisticated atmosphere.

Mood Words

When creating names, we keep the following tones and atmospheres in mind:

In General

  1. Sensual
  2. Aesthetic
  3. Evocative
  4. Classy
  5. Elegant
  6. Sophisticated

Explicitness Level A: Extremely Sexually Explicit

  1. Sexy
  2. Risqué
  3. Provocative

Explicitness Level B: Moderately Sexually Explicit

  1. Steamy
  2. Erotic
  3. Titillating

Explicitness Level C: Sensual

  1. Sensual
  2. Seductive
  3. Arousing

Explicitness Level D: Sensual/Metaphorical

  1. Soft
  2. Subtle
  3. Suggestive

Explicitness Level E: Highly Metaphorical

  1. Poetic
  2. Symbolic
  3. Landscape

Explicit Words

These are words that often go against the Apple Guidelines.

  1. Penis
    1. Dick
    2. Cock
  2. Vagina
    1. Pussy
    2. Cunt
  3. Ass
    1. Asshole
  4. Intercourse
    1. Sex
    2. Fuck
  5. Cum
    1. Sperm
    2. Spunk
  6. Breasts
    1. Tits
    2. Nipples
    3. Boobs
  7. Fuck

Why these words?

In short, we stay away from explicit depictions of sex, sexual organs, and sexual acts.

If a card does not contain explicit language, such as “Flirting with a stranger with my partner,” or even “Chain me up and whip me,” then it does not need to be altered with metaphors or euphemisms. If it contains explicit language, such as “Fuck me sweetly in a bathtub surrounded by candles,” then it needs to be changed to softer language.

Which euphemisms should be used?

Euphemisms for sex and sexual organs are fine as long as they are not too obscene. For example, “hooking up” and “quickie” are acceptable euphemisms for sex, but “fucking” is too explicit.

Euphemisms should also not sound nonsensical to anyone who reads them. For example, “hanky panky” and “bumping uglies” are English euphemisms for sex, but they are not in keeping with the mature tone of the Fantasy Match.

Besides, we do not use curse words. They needlessly raise the explicitness level, which should only be done for good reason, and they often add very little in the way of substance.

Substitution List

Safer words are more in line with the tech giant’s standards. This substitution list is not a strict set of rules, but a list of guidelines; you may substitute explicit words with your own safer words.

Metaphors

Now for the more advanced part. Some cards could be a bit too explicit. That’s where metaphors come in.

Metaphors are particularly common in ancient poetry, especially in Chinese and Indian traditions; in these traditions, writers were not always free to describe their sexual desires or encounters, and so they turned to imagery of nature in order to communicate their point.

Read a sample from the Amarushataka to get an idea.

But we believe that metaphors go hand in hand with sophistication. The more sophisticated and advanced that people become in their personal fantasies and understanding of their own sexuality, the more complex and mature their own sexual consciousness.

Metaphors also challenge mature users to think about sex in new ways, beyond simply flesh and body. Metaphors push users to deepen their spiritual understanding of sexuality and how they relate to other people and to themselves.

When do we use a metaphor?

Metaphors should be used sparingly. They are poetic, but they’re not always clear to all users and so they should be used only as the last option. Use a metaphor only if:

  1. There is no other way to describe the card without being obscene.
  2. You have tried describing the card in other ways.
  3. Using a metaphor would add a level of nuance, class, and sophistication that saying something straightforward wouldn’t. It would add a deeper level of understanding to this card.
  4. The metaphor is clear.
  5. The metaphor has not been used too often.

Which metaphors do we use?

The best metaphors pull, like Chinese and Indian poetry, from the natural world. So consider:

  1. Animals
  2. Plants/Fruit
  3. Seasons
  4. Hunger/Anger/Emotions
  5. Hunger is often used as a stand-in for lust.
  6. Weather
  7. Landscape
  8. And any others you think might be a good fit ☺

How do we know if a metaphor is right for Title?

The right metaphor is extremely powerful. But it’s hard to know when you’ve come across the perfect one.

The best way to figure out whether a metaphor is successful is to ask yourself:

  1. If I saw this metaphor on a card, would I swipe to accept it?
  2. Would I use share this card with a partner(s)?
  3. Does it personally turn me on?

If you’ve created a successful metaphor, the answer to all of these should be yes!

What metaphors should you avoid?

Technology
References to real people
References to a specific religion or spiritual belief

What tips do we have for creating metaphors?

  1. Metaphors should be clear to the people who read them, and they should be able to be visually illustrated in such a way that the meaning is apparent.
    1. EXAMPLE: Swallowing cum
    2. GOOD METAPHOR: Drinking up the gushing rivers until there’s nothing left
    3. BAD METAPHOR: Dipping your toes in a puddle
  2. Don’t get caught up in making something overly poetic—instead, focus on simplicity and clarity.
    1. EXAMPLE: Playing with your partner’s balls/testicles
    2. GOOD METAPHOR: Juggling apples
    3. BAD METAPHOR: Playing with sun-kissed stones in the autumn twilight
  3. There’s a careful balance between the clever and the ridiculous. It’s okay if a metaphor makes you smile or even chuckle, but if a metaphor strikes you as ridiculous, then other people won’t be able to take it seriously either.
    1. EXAMPLE: Playing in a bush of pubic hair
    2. GOOD METAPHOR: Playing in the bushes
    3. BAD METAPHOR: Searching in the bushes for Waldo from “Where’s Waldo?”

What other rules do we follow?

  1. Be varied in your metaphors. Do not always rely on tree imagery, for example, or on birds; mix it up!
  2. For the sake of clarity, Explicitness Level E: Highly Metaphorical Titles should not be paired with Explicitness Level E: Highly Metaphorical Stories.

Stories: Writing Rules Details

What is the Story format?

A Story may be a description or explanation of a Title, a poem related to the Title, or a narrative that depicts one or more people doing the action described in the Title.

If you write a narrative, put it in the 2nd person (“you”) point of view. Do not write it in the 3rd person (“he/she”) point of view or 1st person (“I”) point of view. After all, you want to make the reader feel as if this is their story. 😉

Example Title: Let’s sleep together in the back of a pickup truck

TYPE YES NO
Description

Pickup trucks bring to mind wide open roads and endless adventures, handsome outdoorsmen and untamable cowboys. Pull your lover into the truck’s cargo bed and feel the hard, smooth metal knocking against your back when you sleep together. Do it dirty on the side of the road or make it a romantic night on a hill beneath the stars.

Pickup trucks remind me wide open roads and endless adventures, handsome outdoorsmen and untamable cowboys. I love to pull my lover into the truck’s cargo bed and feel the hard, smooth metal knocking against your back when we sleep together. Sometimes we do it dirty on the side of the road or make it a romantic night on a hill beneath the stars.
Narrative/2nd Person You pepper him with kisses as he swerves the pickup truck to a stop at the crest of the hill. He throws on the emergency brake, tosses you over his shoulder and flings you into the truck’s open back. You gasp, yanking him down onto you. You knot your fingers in his hair. His kisses burn. You shudder, legs opening, and feel his fingers push inside. Then more than his fingers. He pounds you as shooting stars streak across the sky. She peppers him with kisses as he swerves the pickup truck to a stop at the crest of the hill. He throws on the emergency brake, tosses her over his shoulder and flings her into the truck’s open back. She gasps, yanking him down onto her. She knots her fingers in his hair. His kisses burn. She shudders, legs opening, and feels his fingers push inside. Then more than his fingers. He pounds her as shooting stars streak across the sky.
Narrative/2nd Person You yank down his boxers and lick your lips before sliding him into your mouth. His hips buck with pleasure. You take him in deeper. He moans, then covers his mouth--the parking lot is empty, but people could still pass nearby. You kiss him deeply before lining him up with your entrance. You dig your nails into the back of his neck as your hips grind against his, forcing him in deeper. Behind you, another car honks.

Description of the Explicitness Levels

As stated above, we have created five explicitness levels in order to help you determine how to name and describe a card in a way that abides by our Mindful Guidelines.

The levels fall on a scale from (A) Most Explicit, to (E) Most Metaphorical. Level A Fantasies are overt and sexually graphic. Meanwhile, Level E Fantasies employ heavy metaphors similar to ancient Chinese and Indian erotic poetry.

Explicitness Level A: Extremely Sexually Explicit – graphic and sexually overt without any restrictions.

Explicitness Level B: Moderately Sexually Explicit – maintaining the core of Level A Fantasies, but using the substitution list to replace sexually explicit language.

Explicitness Level C: Sensual – no sex organs are explicitly described, although sex acts may be described using words from the substitution list.

Explicitness Level D: Sensual/Metaphorical – no sex acts or sexual organs are explicitly described; the focus is on feelings and sensations, with most of the explicit sexual acts being implied.

Explicitness Level E: Highly Metaphorical – similar to ancient erotic poetry, the highly metaphorical level does not deal in explicit sexual language, but employs metaphors (primarily focusing on the natural world, such as animals and plants) to imply what is happening.

Let’s go into a little more detail about each level.

What are examples of each level?

Explicitness Level A: Extremely Sexually Explicit

Level A is purely explicit. No holds barred. It’s what you might say if you were discussing sex with a friend or a lover. It can be raw and explicit.

Example: Let’s flog our clits

Explicitness Level B: Moderately Sexually Explicit

Level B is like Level A, but a bit less obvious. Instead of using explicit words, you may substitute terms from the substitution list.

Example: Plunging deeply into every hole

Usually, both Level B and Level A are a bit too explicit for the guidelines (but not always). Level B works especially well with Fantasies that tend to be less explicit by nature.

Explicitness Level C: Sensual

Level C tends to be the right spot for most Fantasies. For Level C Fantasies, sexual organs are not explicitly described, even with euphemisms, although sex acts may be implied and described with words like “thrust” or “fill.”

Example: Having someone straddle my face, but I can't touch them

Explicitness Level D: Sensual/Metaphorical

These are more abstract and sensual than Level C, but this level does not stray into the metaphorical; you’re still describing people and human sensations here, without referencing trees or animals. However, you are not explicitly referencing sex organs or sex acts, even through euphemism.

Example: Getting walked in on with my mistress

Explicitness Level E: Highly Metaphorical

Finally, Level E is highly metaphorical. It almost exclusively references natural elements instead of people. It draws heavily from poetic traditions. It should be used for high-level Fantasies, as the most sophisticated users will be keyed into the deeper meaning behind these Fantasies.

Example: Making a geyser blow

How do we decide what level to use?

A good rule of thumb is to begin with Level A, writing out the card as explicitly as possible, and then slowly work your way up level by level, all the way to Level E. Then choose the one that you feel works best for the card.

How do we match Title and Story explicitness levels?

Keep a close eye on what explicitness level your Title. If you choose Level E Highly Metaphorical for the Story, then the card Title should be closer to Level C or D so that the reader understands what’s going on.

For example, let’s say the card is “Fucking in the ass.” The title “Fucking in the ass” is explicit, so it would fall into Level A. How could you revise this Title and create a Story that abides by our guidelines?

  1. You could pair an Explicitness Level C or D Title with an Explicitness Level E Story.
    1. Level C Title: Entering from behind
    2. Level E Story: The roots dig deep and spread far underground, pushing painfully, slowly, deliciously into the soil. The tree pierces further than it ever has before as the ground opens up willingly and drinks it in. It blooms.
  2. Or you could pair an Explicitness Level E Title with an Explicitness Level C or D Story.
    1. Level E Title: Planting an oak tree in my backyard
    2. Level D Story: Sweat trickles down your back. Your palms press against the door as you cry out in a mixture of pain and pleasure, euphoria and blindness. You’ve never been filled so completely. And you feel it in your stomach: your lover’s hands on your waist, their fingernails digging into your sides, as they dig into you.
  3. You could also pair an Explicitness Level C or D Title with an Explicitness Level C or D Story.
    1. Level C Title: Entering from behind
  4. But pairing an Explicitness Level E Title with an Explicitness Level E Story may be too confusing for the reader.
    1. Level E Title: Planting an oak tree in my backyard
    2. Level E Story: The roots dig deep and spread far underground, pushing painfully, slowly, deliciously into the soil. The tree pierces further than it ever has before as the ground opens up willingly and drinks it in. It blooms.

In general, the best combination is Explicitness Level B, C or D Titles with a mixture of Explicitness Level C, D and E Stories, for variety. See examples in the next section.

Examples

Card: Let’s try anal sex

First, let’s look at every possible iteration for the title on the explicitness scale.
We’ve created more sophisticated 1-2-3 variations for each level to give you more ideas on how flexible you could be.

Explicitness Level A1 Let’s fuck in the ass
Explicitness Level A2 Drilling in the ass
Explicitness Level A3 Let’s try anal sex
Explicitness Level B1 Drilling from behind
Explicitness Level B2 Let’s have sex from behind
Explicitness Level B3 Let’s try anal penetration
Explicitness Level C1 Filling my hole from behind
Explicitness Level C2 Going deep in me from behind
Explicitness Level C3 Entering from behind
Explicitness Level D1 Filling me from behind
Explicitness Level D2 Connecting with me from behind
Explicitness Level D3 Making love from behind
Explicitness Level E1 Rooting a tree trunk behind the house
Explicitness Level E2 Putting seeds in a hole
Explicitness Level E3 Planting a tree in my backyard

In this case, “anal sex” is a relatively tame card, meaning that its explicitness level could be one of the options from Level C. However, in this case, you could also choose Level A3 (see “When are Explicitness Level A Titles and Stories okay to have?”).

Now let’s look at the Stories for this card.

Explicitness Level A Story

Every hole begs to be filled. If you’ve never tried this one, then open yourself up to your partner’s cock or even your own willing fingers. A little pleasure, a little pain--you never know what awaits until you try, so fuck yourself at their mercy or take charge and dominate. Give yourself over to new experiences.

Why is this Level A? It is extremely graphic, as evidenced by its use of words on the explicit list (such as “cock” and “fuck”) as well as its straightforward depictions of sex.

Explicitness Level B Story

Every hole exists to be filled. If you’ve never tried this one, then open yourself up to your partner’s member or even your own fingers. A little pleasure, a little pain--you never know what awaits until you try, so stretch yourself out at their mercy or take charge and dominate. Give yourself over to new experiences.

Why is this Level B? It’s not as graphic as Level A, but it still leaves very little to the imagination—it depicts a “member” and someone penetrating themselves with their fingers. This is a bit too graphic for our guidelines.

Explicitness Level C Story

Feel both filled and fulfilled as your lover thrusts into you. Whether you’re rolling on a bed, sprawled in the grass or even just pressing against a bathroom stall as sweat rivers down your back, be pushed to your limits. If you’re the one on top, lube up first or go in raw if your partner wants to be torn open. Don’t be afraid of a little pain and a little mess.

Why is this Level C? It’s erotic but not sexual. It describes the settings of sex, such as being sprawled in the grass, but it does not explicitly reference sexual organs. It focuses more on emotions and physical sensations (“be pushed to your limits”) and less on raw sexual passion.

Explicitness Level D Story: Poetic Option

Sweat trickles down your back
Your palms press against the door
as you cry out in a mixture of pain
and pleasure,
euphoria
and blindness.
You’ve never been filled so completely.

And you feel it in your stomach:
your lover’s hands on your waist
their fingernails digging
into your sides
as they dig
into you.

Explicitness Level D Story: Prose Option

Sweat trickles down your back. Your palms press against the door as you cry out in a mixture of pain and pleasure, euphoria and blindness. You’ve never been filled so completely. And you feel it in your stomach: your lover’s hands on your waist, their fingernails digging into your sides, as they dig into you.

Why are these level D? They don’t describe sexual acts or sexual organs, but they highlight the physical sensations associated with sex, leaving the reader to fill in the rest with their imagination.

Explicitness Level E Story:

The roots dig deep
and spread far underground,
pushing painfully
slowly
deliciously
into the soil. The tree
pierces further than it ever
has before
as the ground opens up willingly
and drinks it in.
It blooms.

Why is this Level E? It relies on metaphors instead of humans, leading the reader to fill in the gaps with their own imaginations. This draws from techniques of ancient erotic poetry, rather than on graphic sexual depictions.

Here, Level C would probably be the best option.

Card: I want to fuck someone with big curls

Explicitness Level A1 Fucking someone with huge curls
Explicitness Level A2 Drilling someone with big curls
Explicitness Level A3 Let’s fuck if you have huge curls
Explicitness Level B1 Nailing someone with huge curls
Explicitness Level B2 Going deep into someone with big curls
Explicitness Level B3 Filling up someone with big curls
Explicitness Level C1 Sleeping with someone with big curls
Explicitness Level C2 Making love to someone with big curls
Explicitness Level C3 Physically connecting with someone with big curls
Explicitness Level D1 Spending the night with someone with huge curls
Explicitness Level D2 Forming a connection with someone with big curls
Explicitness Level D3 Loving someone with huge, curly hair
Explicitness Level E1 Playing the Olympic sport of curling
Explicitness Level E2 Falling asleep on a bed of curls
Explicitness Level E3 Rolling around on a bed of curls

In this case, Explicitness Level C1 or Explicitness Level C2 would work best.

Explicitness Level A Story

How curly is the hair between your partner’s legs? Is it as curly as the hair on their head? There’s only one way to find out. So thrust your cock, fingers or dildo in deeply, fuck them wildly and leave them begging for more.

Why is this Level A? The use of the words “cock” and “fuck” make this extremely explicit.

Explicitness Level B Story

How curly is the hair between your partner’s legs? Is it as curly as the hair on their head? There’s only one way to find out. So thrust your member in deeply, pound them wild and leave them begging for more.

Why is this Level B? This is less explicit than (A), but it still directly describes a brute sexual act.

Explicitness Level C Story

A magnet draws you to your lover’s big, bouncy curls, and you lick your lips wondering what else will bounce. Imagine burying your nose in the crook of their neck, feeling their hair tickle your cheek. Imagine rolling around in your bed, leaving trails of kisses and finding their hair stuck to your pillow.

Why is this Level C? This is much more sensual than explicit. Sex is hinted at (“wondering what else will bounce,” “rolling around in your bed”) but the act itself is not described in a graphic way.

Explicitness Level D Story: Poetic Option

Hair spills across your partner’s pillow.
You kiss them good morning
and good night
and good morning
and trace the curls
that twirl down their body.
You twist
their hair around your finger.
You twist
your body around theirs.

Explicitness Level D Story: Prose Option

Hair spills across your partner’s pillow. You kiss them good morning and good night and good morning and trace the curls that twirl down their body. You twist their hair around your finger. You twist your body around theirs.

Why are these Level D? They engage in much more poetic language in order to communicate their point. They focus more on the emotional connection involved in sex than on the sex itself.

Explicitness Level E Story

Your lover’s hair
curls like leaves
in an autumn wind:
red
orange
yellow
toasting golden in the sunlight
and you cannot stop yourself
from needing to touch

Why is this Level E? It engages with the lover as if the lover were nature, such as leaves, and leans into symbolism instead of realism.

Here, Level C or Level D would probably be the best option.

Card: Make myself squirt

For this, we could actually choose A3, because “squirting” is not a highly controversial term.

Explicitness Level A Story

Fingers, a cock or sometimes even just your mind will do the trick. Fuck the perfect spot and watch yourself spill out in delicious waves.

Why is this Level A? The language (“cock,” “fuck”) is explicit.

Explicitness Level B Story

Fingers, a member or sometimes even just your mind will do the trick. Hit the perfect spot and watch yourself spill out in delicious waves.

Why is this Level B? The language is much less explicit, but it still directly depicts someone fucking themselves, which is an image that trends more on the explicit side.

Explicitness Level C Story

Open your own body and feel yourself spill out in a shudder of pleasure. Splash in the river of liquid. Whether this is new to you or you’ve done it countless times before, spread yourself everywhere, and relish it.џ

Why is this Level C? It describes sex in a much more intimate and sensual way, and the act of sex itself is alluded to (“open your own body”) instead of crudely depicted.

Explicitness Level D Story: Poetic Option

Liquid pleasure
Paint your sheets
Paint your fingers
Paint your skin
Tap into parts of yourself you never thought to
touch
and watch pure ecstasy
spill out

Explicitness Level D Story: Prose Option

Liquid pleasure. Paint your sheets. Paint your fingers. Paint your skin. Tap into parts of yourself you never thought to touch and watch pure ecstasy spill out.

Why are these Level D? They are extremely metaphorical and lean heavily on imagery, while still depicting people and not objects of nature.

Explicitness Level E Story: Prose Option

The river did not know it could overflow
Until it called for rain
And let itself be filled
Until it splashed out
Onto its banks
And drowned the nearby fields
With sweet, fresh water
Where red flowers now bloom.

Why is this Level E? It alludes directly to rivers and flowers instead of a human.

Here, Level C or D would be the best option.
